Parody: The Best Weapon to Expose Excesses

A guy had fun using an « AI actress » from the McDonald’s Christmas 2025 ad, entirely generated by AI, which received a tumultuous reception on social media.

In this mini video, also generated by AI, one of the ad’s characters explains how AI is a deception, even for brands.

This character is the old woman seen at the end of the ad.

She explains that since she doesn’t officially exist and no one owns rights to her image (as per current legislation), she can very well be reused elsewhere for other brands. And that’s what’s funny.

At the start of the video, we see her eating a Burger King Whopper, then the camera zooms out, revealing a variety of other products from different restaurant chains in front of her.

She then explains that since she is an AI, she can say whatever she wants, such as Big Macs being made from rat meat, etc.

The rest of the video follows suit and is quite successful. You can watch it here.

AI-Generated Ads Seen as Provocation by the Creative World

This highlights the fears and apprehensions of the creative world regarding the massive arrival of AI in video creation. The McDonald’s and Coca-Cola bad buzz versus the global success of the Intermarché ad are testament to this.

But creators are not inactive in the face of what’s happening. Hollywood actors have, for instance, launched the CCAI, an association to defend their rights against AI. Rather than opposing it head-on, they are calling for rules and rights.

I asked Gemini to summarize their main demands for me.

The CCAI is an organization born out of the necessity to unite the creative community against the rapid rise of generative artificial intelligence. Its central message is that technology should enhance human creativity, not undermine it. The organization does not reject AI per se but advocates for responsible, human-centered innovation with robust safeguards and shared standards.

Goals and Pillars The organization serves as a central hub to coordinate cross-sector discussions and establish standards. It relies on four fundamental pillars:

Transparency, Consent, and Compensation: Ensuring creators are paid and give their consent for the use of their works and data in AI model training.

Job Protection and Transition Plans: Protecting vulnerable workers from AI-induced obsolescence and proposing responsible transition models.

Safeguards Against Abuse and Deepfakes: Implementing systems to distinguish authentic content from AI fabrications and combat misinformation.

Preserving Humanity in the Creative Process: Maintaining craftsmanship and the human soul in storytelling against the « industrialization » of creativity.

Thus, we see that people are not standing still in the face of what they see as a deadly threat. I don’t recall seeing such opposition to a technology since I’ve been in digital. We are all aware that we are facing a revolution. In response, revolt is organizing, and evidently, the working world will not die without defending itself.
